ROOSEVELT UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON FOR WOMEN IN
REAL ESTATE

(CHICAGO – September 10, 2007) – A new lecture series designed to support and promote women aspiring to leadership roles in the real estate industry is being launched Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University. The program was founded and is being underwritten by Goldie B. Wolfe Miller.

Called “Women Leaders in Real Estate,” the three-part series kicks off with a presentation by Wolfe Miller, formerly one of the top commercial real estate brokers in Chicago and current president of Millbrook Corporate Real Estate Services. Through “Fact or Fiction: Success and a Balanced Life,” Wolfe Miller will discuss what it takes to be both personally and professionally successful, and what sacrifices, if any, are necessary to achieve one’s goals.

The first luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at Roosevelt University, 430 S. Michigan Ave. Cost is $50, which is tax deductible as allowed by law. To register or for more information, contact Hodge Schindler Integrated Communications at 312.666.6662 or visit www.WomenLeadersinRealEstate.com. The second and third sessions are slated for January and May of 2008.

“No one talked about having a balanced life when I was building my career,” said Wolfe Miller. “Today, working women – and men – don’t necessarily want to have to choose between a successful career and family life. My presentation will spark a discussion about whether it is possible to have both.”

Millbrook Corporate Real Estate Services is a full-service consulting company specializing in the office and industrial marketplace. It is closely associated with Millbrook Properties, which develops major office parks in the Chicago suburbs. Millbrook currently owns and manages approximately one million square feet in the North suburbs with corporate tenants including Zenith, Eagle Test Systems, Akorn and ITW Switches.

“Wolfe Miller is a true pioneer, succeeding at such a high level in an industry that is overwhelmingly male. We are pleased she will share her insights, and hope she inspires others to replicate her success,” says Jon DeVries, director for the Marshall Bennett Institute.

The luncheon series is part of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate’s Women Leaders in Real Estate initiative, which was created to encourage more women to pursue leadership roles in the real estate industry.

The Chicago School of Real Estate was established in the fall of 2002 and the Institute was established in 2004 to support the work of the school and sponsor industry events. The school’s leadership and faculty include the region’s most influential real estate executives who take an active role and participate as teaching fellows, mentors, guest lecturers, and sponsors of onsite training programs.
