“The success of our first two events indicated there is a real need for women who want to ramp up their careers to learn from and network with powerful women in different areas of real estate. Our half day symposium helps fulfill this need,” says Wolfe Miller.

Fain, Esq., President, Chicago Economic Development Institute, and feature Susan Rosen, broker, Cushman & Wakefield; Nasutsa Mabwa, project manager-development, McCaffery Interests; and Elizabeth Holland, Esq., chief executive officer, Abbell Credit Corporation.

The second panel, “Success and Ethics in Diverse/Emerging Markets,” will feature moderator Celeste Hammond, Esq., professor and director, John Marshall Law School, Real Estate Law Program, and Alicia Duncan Esq, ARDC, Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission; Lisa Konieczka, executive vice president, brokerage services, CB Richard Ellis; and Janet Johnson, Esq., partner, Schiff Hardin LLP.

Attorneys who attend will be able to earn two Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits through John Marshall Law School. (Two hours CLE credits may include one hour Ethics CLE credit; application for Ethics credit pending).

Launched in the fall of 2007, the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller lecture series was designed to support and promote women aspiring to leadership roles in the real estate industry. To advance this cause, each year several early and mid-career women are selected as Goldie B. Wolfe Miller scholars to receive financial and career development support as they pursue their MBAs or Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degrees within the Chicago School of Real Estate.

The Chicago School of Real Estate was established in the fall of 2002 and the Marshall Bennett Institute was established in 2004 and supports the work of the school as well as sponsoring industry events. The school’s leadership and faculty include the region’s most influential real estate executives who take an active role and participate as teaching fellows, mentors, guest lecturers and sponsors of academic and training programs.
